Setting up fields, acreage, and crop details

How to structure your fields so reports, schedules, and crew assignments actually make sense.

What counts as a field

Any piece of land you'd want to report on separately: numbered fields, hoophouses, pastures, orchard blocks, or market-farm garden beds.

Adding a field

  1. Click Fields, then + Add Field.
  2. Name it the way your crew already talks about it.
  3. Enter rough acreage.
  4. Pick or type the current crop.
  5. Add notes for access, drainage, soil type.

Tips

  • Don't over-split into tiny sub-sections you'll never report on.
  • Keep names short — they appear in tight columns.
  • Use notes for gate codes and access rules.
