Setting up your farm for the first time
A complete step-by-step walkthrough of your first 20 minutes in FarmFlow — from creating the account to seeing your first worker check off a task.
Before you start
Spend 5 minutes gathering this info before you open FarmFlow — it makes the setup fly.
- Worker list: full name and cell phone number for every person on your crew.
- Field list: a rough name for each field, approximate acreage, and what is planted there right now.
- Season: the current season name (Spring 2026, Fall 2026, etc.).
Step 1 — Create your account
- Go to the landing page and click Start Free — 14 Days.
- Fill in your name, farm name, email, and a password with at least 8 characters.
- Pick a plan. If you're not sure, choose Harvest.
- Click Create account. You'll land on the dashboard.
Step 2 — Add your fields
- Click Fields in the sidebar.
- Click + Add Field and enter name, acreage, crop, and notes.
- Save. Repeat for every field.
Step 3 — Add your workers
- Click Workers, then + Add Worker.
- Enter name, phone, role, and status.
- Send invite — they'll get a text with a magic link.
Step 4 — Create your first task
- Click + Add Task from the Dashboard.
- Title it with an action verb, pick the field, assign a worker, set priority and due date.
- Save. The assigned worker gets a notification.
Common first-day problems
- Worker didn't get the text — check the number, try Copy Link instead.
- Wrong field on a task — open the task, click the field, pick the right one.
- Can't find Add Task — it's in the top-right of the top bar.
